Scott 198 or Yvert 162

Does anyone have an example of Scott 198 or Yvert 162 (20c de piastre Antoine Simon stamp) with both types of GL OZ overprints? One has the point directly above the "1"0f "1914" and the other does not.

Comments

  • I have only two copies of the first type (point directly above "1").

  • For Scott 198 Y&T I have onlys 3 copies with short "L" and the point directly above the "1".
I don't know if is was written in one HPS revue but it seems that for short L, point between "O" and "Z" is directly above the "1" of "1914".
I have check on it on many stamps.
For large "L" the point is always lihgtely shiffed on the left.

  • I have 12 singles of Scott 198 and two pairs and a block of 4 all with type 1 GL O.Z. with point directly above the "1". Have only one example of type 2 which suggests that type 2 is scarce. Thank you for replying.

  • Same here. Only 1 copy with point directly above the '1'. See image.
