A researcher reached out to the HPS indicating he is looking for information on postal rates between 1951 and 1954. Unless I totally missed it, I couldn't find this information in the earlier versions of the Haiti Philately journal. Does anyone have this information or a suggestion on where to find it? Thanks,

Good day! I am Mike Pobega and I have been a US stamp collector since 11 years old, some 48 years ago! After a very long hiatus while I ran a business, raised a family etc., I have returned to stamps and have found the wonder once again. I forgot how much fun collecting stamps can be. Now I stumbled across Haitian early airmails and seems to be locked in. Specifically covers bearing correct postage and cachets from the first flights to the NYRBA First flights and the FAM flights, so early 30s.
Is there a resource other than EBAY for this material? I appreciate any response and thanks for letting me be here. I have already spent about 6 hours in your archives learning what I must. Great stuff there by the way.
I have the two Airmail publications your Society has produced as well as a set of a old set of American Air Mail Society catalogs.
Thanks you

I am interested in tourist comments written on picture postcards sent from Haiti during the "Golden Age" of Haiti tourism (circa 1950's-70's) with the ultimate goal of writing an article about this in "Haiti Philately." The focus is "social philately" about what tourist visitors saw and did, even if it was nothing more than a travel itinerary or a weather report. [For example, my personal experience is that many postcards from the Middle East generally included some form of "it sure is hot here"]. Messages and English and French are preferred but I can deal with other languages as necessary. Are other HPS members able to help me with this by providing either scans or paper copies? [This is my first posting on the HPS Discussion Forum so if I left something out, please let me know].

This 240 page publication will serve as a valuable reference for collectors and will contain numerous quality illustrations that postcard collectors and non-collectors will find of interest, as many sights and scenes no longer exist. It is expected to be available early in 2020.
