July 6, 2018 - An operational update. Our long time webmaster, William Matthews, has decided to step down from his position after serving the Society for twelve years. Nicolas Doire has now accepted the responsibility for our site and is overall webmaster. Manfred Beier continues as Administrator of our Discussion Forums. Both William Matthews and Nicolas Doire continue their service to the Society as officers through the current term of office, which concludes on December 31st.

July 2, 2018 - We've added a "What's New" Archives page, which will provide a listing of previously made changes to our site. You will find access to that page near the bottom of the "What's new on the website?" page.

June 29, 2018 - They have said that a picture is worth a thousand words. In an effort to assure that historic records remain available of the many lots of material scanned over the decades by our Society Auctioneer, we have now added an additional three hundred twenty-seven (327) web pages to our site showing scans of material covering auctions from 2005 to 2011 and even a few images in 2014. Although some areas of coverage may be less than might be desired, these listings cover great rarities of the colonial period, the early Haitian Republic, later errors, proofs, censored mail, desirable postal history, and even the more common material that we all enjoy adding to our respective collections. These older images remain relevant as they will serve as definitive proof that these numerous key items were offered in our auctions.

June 27, 2018 - Prices realized have been posted to the June 2018 Society Auction.

May 20, 2018 - An additional entry concerning Haitian fantasy labels has been added to our "UPU Illegals" page, the fourth entry of the year. As in prior cases, the latest addition is under the heading of "2018".

May 18, 2018 - Another entry concerning Haitian fantasy labels has been added to our "UPU Illegals" page under the header of '2018'.

April 28, 2018 - We usually provide a brief summation here of changes on the website we think will be of interest to you. However, today, there are two subjects that we feel warrant your attention:

(A) The Society is pleased to announce the launch of its 'Discussion Forums' for members. These forums have been long sought by some of our members and we hope everyone will freely partake in an opportunity to discuss the philately of Haiti with each other. To access this new feature, select the 'Discussion Forums' tab on the column at the left. Our thanks to HPS member Manfred Beier, who will be serving as Forums Moderator.

(B) The Society also announces the availability of its new 'Digital Index'. This new feature provides information in a different format as compared to that found in our traditional printed index. To access the 'Digital Index', go to our Publications page and just click the link found under the "Our Digital Products" section at the top of that page. As a member you may perform detailed searches on items previously addressed in the hundreds of pages of Haiti Philately written over our 44 years of existence. More importantly, after finding an item you want to check on, a quick click will bring up a copy of the specific issue(s) of Haiti Philately for your review.

If you are not a Society member, you will still benefit from our Digital Index by being able to see a listing containing all of the articles in each journal issue.

April 21, 2018 - The Society is pleased to announce the release of its Special Study No. 5, "Overprint Errors of Haiti, 1939-2000", authored by Peter C. Jeannopoulos, Society president, and author of three other Special Studies released in prior years by the Society. This publication is an important reference work, which will serve as a definitive resource for collectors interested in overprint errors of typeset overprints on postal issues released after 1939 by the Republic of Haiti. This perfect-bound book of 100 pages brings together information not readily available elsewhere and provides collectors color illustrations of virtually all the errors recorded during the period.

The writer includes a thorough explanation of overprint variations, selected references for further study on this area, a listing of the errors on record, exclusions in this work, and extensive full color illustrations. This monograph will aid collectors in determining needs still to be met for their collections.

For further information on obtaining a copy of this book, check near the bottom of our "Publications" page.

April 2, 2018 - Two entries concerning Haitian fantasy labels have been added to our "UPU Illegals" page under the header of '2018'.

March 29, 2018 - Prices realized have been posted to the March 2018 Society Auction.

February 25, 2018 - The Society Auctioneer has released the March quarterly auction. It is now available for review by checking the 'Current Auction' on our Auctions page.
