Wartime Issues and Postal History
The period of the Second World War was a period of austerity at home as nations redirected their efforts toward victory in the conflict. Haiti was no exception to this and postal issues were designed to reflect hope and a national spirit of survival. Mail was censored and some of those marking types are very rare and much sought after.
