| Zeppelin Treaty-State Flights
Although none of the Zeppelin airships used Haiti as a stopover on their many flights to the Americas in the 1920's and 1930's, collectors were able to send mail for conveyance on the airships through postal agreements. Covers originating in Haiti have been recorded for the Graf Zeppelin Flight of May 1930, the Chicago World's Fair Flight of 1933, and the first Hindenburg North American Flight of May 1936. All are scarce and sought after items. |
