| Lot 1. FL 18th Sept. 1765, Mezin, France, to Fort Dauphin via Le Cap,
first marking for Le Cap (Jamet #1 for Cap) in blue, marked 1 escalin due. Two page
letter in French, can be read easily by one knowing French, appears to be personal at
least in part. Item is clean and sound, has a water stain that does not detract.
The town marking is quite legible and almost VF. |
